Découverte sensible de la Médina de Tunis avec les enfants

El-houma khir aims to make public spaces in Tunisia more inclusive. It embrace placemaking through a series of workshops at the Medina of Tunis with a number of local partners offering the opportunity to the local community and in particular the youth to think and design their spaces in order to make them more inclusive, to understand how a city is created and how it is transforming through new uses as well as highlighting the real challenges for decisions makers and planning actors.

Caracteristic Elements:

  • Use of local building materials, eg. Bricks, recycled tiles, reeds.
  • Participatory design and construction with the local community (craftsmen, students, teachers)
  • Construction site at High Intensity of Labor
